Board of Trustees
Responsible for Church Property

            A Board of Trustees consisting of not less than three nor more than nine members shall be elected by the Charge Conference.  The Board of Trustees shall have supervision, oversight and care of all real property owned by the church.  The Trustees shall have responsibility for providing adequate insurance for the church and its properties.  The Trustees shall insure that use of the facilities by outside organizations conforms with the Social Principles of the United Methodist Church.  Subject to the direction of the Charge Conference the Board of Trustees shall receive and administer all bequests and trusts in conformity with the laws of the state.  (See paragraph 2532 of the Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church 2004).  The Board of Trustees meets the first Wednesday of each month.  The President and Secretary are elected in January.
