The Dutch
Cradle Cross:
Jesus
said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder
them., for to such belong the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew
9:14).
With all their hearts, the Dutch believed in
this passage of
scripture
concerning their infant children – that this
symbol of the
Christian faith might early become a part of
the child’s
conscience. The Dutch Cradle Cross on the
Altar this morning is in honor of Baylee Paige Cowger,
born February
18, 2010 to Robert Lee Cowger, III and Liza
Marie Abbott.
